2020 Toyota Land Cruiser New Model Design
2020 Toyota Land Cruiser. Most of us expect Toyota to launch a brand new car with the next generation, Prado. However, this is not quite the case. The next model seems to be just a mild update from its predecessor which is quite unusual, especially for a car nearly a decade at this stage. So far leaks only appear outside and a good part of the interior. Most of the technical specifications of the upcoming Prado are unknown, but we doubt that they will change much on its previous 2020 Toyota Land Cruiser (Prado) coming in September, and now we have the first official / informal information.
From the leaked images, we can clearly see that these will come with an updated exterior and a very refined interior. Pictures first appeared on social media (this is the direction of Nodis), and while the exterior images are clearly part of the manual available in Japan, the inner ones were inadvertently leaked.
The most obvious changes compared to the current model occurred on the front fascia. The front end is almost completely redesigned. The headlights are new, and packed with LED technology, the chrome grille now has more bars, slots and chrome than ever before. The bumper is also revised with a new set of fog lights (previously previous ones while these are vertical). In the back, the changes are more accurate. While both the rear lights and the bumper have some new habits to them, they are not as their pairs have changed on the front end. Inside, there will be a new dashboard spiced with an 8 inch entertainment information system.
The changes will be more related to evolution, not revolution. But, however, the new 2020 Toyota Land Cruiser will come with some brand new technology solutions. Some of the technology that will find its way into this vehicle is automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning with auxiliary steering, automatic high beam lights and adaptive adjustment control. It will come in Land Cruiser with many recreational and safety features, such as 10-way power driver seat, 8-way power seat, bucket front seats, adjustable seat height seat and passenger seat, leather upholstery, multi-level heating driver and passenger folding seat , 4-way power windows, hands-free access, heated mirrors, adaptive cruise control, front and rear door pockets, sensors, Front, Side and Rear View Camera, Steering wheel, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, etc.
Abroad, the new Land Cruiser looks as good as always. There is not much design philosophy has changed on the previous model, except for some minor details, but it will only be enough. Each new 2020 Toyota Land Cruiser will have a lot to offer to the community will, and it will not be just off – the capacity of the road has been known to Land Cruiser. The new model will feature a more spacious cabin, interior comfort, an abundance of technological features, strong performance, with a variety of engines and a decent price. As the first car introduced by Toyota, the Toyota Land Cruiser was one of the two guards when it comes to real off-road capability, but at the same time, it also kept the luxury items.
Hopefully Toyota will continue in the direction, and that the new 2020 Toyota Land Cruiser will be better than ever. It seems like Toyota has decided to keep the current engine, which will be implemented in the next generation Land Cruiser, as well. We are pleased to see that there will be no shrinkage in terms of power in order to “go greener” as many manufacturers do now days, but we feel that some improvement in terms of increased energy will not hurt either. However, there is still a lot of time, until the form is officially unveiled to the public, we may just get what we ask for.
For the quick reminder, the engine in question is a 5.7 liter V8 turbo, capable of delivering 381 horsepower at 5,600 rpm, with a maximum torque of 401 lb ft of torque at 3600 rpm. The engine will incorporate variable valve timing technology to reduce fuel consumption as much as possible. The drive configuration will be a four-wheel drive and the engine will be mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission system. The engine is, of course, gasoline-based, with no diesel option at all.
As for the fuel economy, the 2020 Toyota Land Cruiser is not the green car there, it has never been. With EPA’s fuel economy ratings of 13 miles per gallon in the city and 18 miles per gallon on the highway, they are one of the worst performing cars in terms of fuel consumption there, despite nearly 400 horsepower. As for the distance, the new Land Cruiser is capable of traveling 320 miles per fuel tank in the city and 443 miles per tank on the highway. The fuel tank capacity is 24.6 gallons.
None of the officials have come directly on prices and the date of official release, but some experts say we may expect to see 2020 Toyota Land Cruiser new streets by 2019. As for prices, the new model will start at a base price point of about $85,000 and range from more than $100K, depending on features and trim levels. Due to their performance and long history of being an amazing off-road vehicle, we are really looking forward to seeing one soon. If the September release of these SUV comes trough, the rest of the world can expect this model in early 2020.
